Patrick Byrne is an FCA with an extensive track record initially working with KPMG in Ireland, USA and Australia.

He then had a 10 year career with National Australia Bank Group holding senior executive positions in Melbourne Group Finance (after its first round of international acquisitions), later as Head of Finance & Strategy for  their Irish operations and finally  3 years working across various aspects of the Group’s European extensive shared services operations in Glasgow.

 In recent years he has worked as a Business Advisor and Interim Manager working hands on with a broad range of commercial clients but concentrating on shared back office services for regulated financial services entities.

​

Highlights would include a number of assignments with the Treasury Departments AIB, BOI and Ulster Bank specialising in the areas of Operational Risk and Regulatory Compliance project management. He has also held operational roles with AIBIM/Prescient Investment Managers and St James Place International Wealth Managers.

​

Patrick has been actively involved in the BPO space with Southwestern where he was involved in establishing the outsourced Finance & Administration team for Topaz after the purchase of the Shell franchise in Ireland. He has worked as a Business Consultant with BearingPoint IT Consultants focussed on FS Risk and Lean Six Sigma based advisory for administrative process efficiency.

This voluntary role involves extensive business development and networking activities to promote the effective utilisation of the ever growing pool of seasoned professionals to support economic growth.
