Eamon O’Brien is a former IFSC CEO and now operates as an international management consultant. With almost 30 years’ experience in insurance, financial services and outsourcing services, including 14 years’ experience as the CEO of a large shared services centre in Dublin for a leading global broker, he is ideally positioned to advise your firm on its international outsourced services’ needs. The outsourced management company managed 90 unique client companies, each with their own service needs and protocols, regulatory issues and governance requirements.

 

He has been involved in many successful start-ups and brings his extensive international experience of business management and outsourcing to SkelligBlue to assist international companies to establish and manage their outsourcing needs to the highest standards of operation and governance.

 

He is highly experienced in dealing with companies’ international outsourcing needs, both as a service provider and as a recipient of outsourced services.  His previous experience includes working with outsourced companies for  several Fortune 500 companies including McDonald’s, H.J. Heinz (now Kraft Heinz), Hewlett-Packard Company, Aon, Motorola, PwC, KPMG, Parker-Hannifin. In addition he worked with FTSE 100 companies such as Centrica, Kingfisher, Thomas Cook Group plc as well as other international groups such as Royal Bank of Canada, Sanofi-Aventis and Bacardi Martini.

He is accustomed to taking responsibility and leading major international outsourcing projects. Eamon has led an international shared services project for a global financial services provider, to establish a shared services centre for 1,000 staff, which encompassed accounting and finance functions, pensions administration, claims handling, international marketing, and administration.

In addition he has established, licensed, and relocated to an outside Dublin location an international insurance underwriting and claims handling company for a FTSE 100 company.

He holds the FCA designation and is certified by the IOD in corporate governance.  ​Eamon has acted as a director of over 30 international insurance, reinsurance and investment fund companies and has experience at all Board levels including Chairman of the Board, Chairman of the Audit Committee and Chairman of the Risk Committee. He is a keen supporter of the Irish Government IFS2020 initiative.
