Kevin O’Brien is an experienced international Independent Non-Executive Director (INED) working, in Dublin and Luxembourg, with a portfolio of clients in the fund and insurance sectors.

​

He works with both traditional and hedge fund companies, whose focus is on delivering value to clients through participation in equity, fixed income, precious metal, credit and derivative markets. On the insurance front he works with both insurance and reinsurance companies in both the life and non-life sectors. He is Chairman of a number of Audit Committees as well as being a member of Investment and Risk Committees.

A Chartered Accountant by profession, he has an excellent knowledge of financial management and control. He is also a Chartered Director.

Prior to becoming an INED Kevin spent most of his career in the Asset Management and Insurance sectors at senior Executive / Director level. During this period he had significant exposure to business start-ups, high growth companies, mergers, as well as companies that were downsizing and restructuring.

He is also working with a small number of companies who require the support of an experienced executive on a part time basis.
